Recent news is exposing the hypocrisy of GOP free speech, to avoid accountability for spreading lies that encourage violence. An appeals court rejected Trump's argument that he is immune from legal accountability for inciting the violence on January 6. A second court reinstated a gag order that prevents Trump from intimidating court personnel with lies that have resulted in multiple death threats. And despite a detailed and scathing House Ethics report, a majority of House Republicans voted against expelling George Santos for lying to voters and stealing campaign funds.
