Trump reversing his position on a national abortion ban is yet another election lie. After taking credit for overturning Roe v. Wade and teasing his support for a national abortion ban, Trump is now trying to appease general election voters without losing support from his Evangelical base. Attorneys inside the anti-abortion movement have already published plans for a national abortion ban. One such attorney told an Atlantic reporter “It’s obviously a political loser, so just keep your mouth shut. Say you oppose a federal ban, and see if that works.”
Prejudice, Nativism, and White Supremacy
Donald Trump selling bibles should be a joke, except it speaks directly to his Evangelical base that embraces Trump as the savior of White Christian Nationalism.
For Holy Week, Donald Trump unveiled his latest scam, selling "God Bless the USA" bibles for $59.99. Not only is this highly offensive to many Christians but it fits the classic American Trope of the unsavory Bible salesman who uses religion as a scam. Liz Cheney called out Trump's hypocrisy, telling him, "instead of selling Bibles, you should probably buy one. And read it, including Exodus 20:14"—Thou shalt not commit adultery. Historian Jemar Tisby writes that Trump selling bibles appeals to White Christian Nationalism "historically tied to prejudice, nativism and white supremacy."
Russia and Russian Agents
Rudy Guiliani's former associate calls out Trump and GOP leaders for knowingly spreading Russian propaganda and “pushing a false narrative" about President Biden.
The House Oversight Committee hearing to impeach President Biden dissolved into chaos when Guiliani's former associate called out Republicans saying, "The American people have been lied to, by Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and various cohorts of individuals in government and media positions." Lev Parnes named individual GOP congressional leaders for spreading Russian "falsehoods to serve their own interests, knowing it would undermine the strength of our nation." Parnes added, "The only information ever pushed on the Bidens and Ukraine has come from one source and one source only: Russia and Russian agents."
Exploiting Rape for Political Purposes
Senator Katie Britt's lying about a child human trafficking victim during the GOP response to the State of the Union is a new low for Republican women who exploit sexual violence.
Women leaders in the GOP are routinely using the threat of sexual violence to scare voters, while defending Donald Trump and the hateful policies that attack women. They call educators defending transgender youth "groomers" and accuse abortion and IVF healthcare professionals of being sex traffickers who traffic in human embryos. Activist Karla Jacinto Romero, who blasted Senator Katie Britt for lying about her rape, said Britt was "using my story and distorting it for political purposes."
Putin's Pawn
Despite Trump comparing his investigations to Navalny's assassination, he still can't seem to connect the dots on why Putin is to blame.
On the 2016 campaign trail, Trump foreshadowed his fondness for Russia. Eight years later, he has come out advocating for closer ties with Moscow by doubling down on his anti-NATO, pro-Putin rhetoric. He can't seem to make himself criticize Putin because of his admiration for authoritarian leaders; despite comparing himself to a victim of authoritarian rule and censorship.
Taylor Swift vs. Trump World
Fearful that Taylor Swift will endorse Biden, Trump World has promised a "holy war" and has started spreading hateful, misogynistic conspiracy theories.
As we already know, Donald Trump feels threatened by strong, successful women. So when Taylor Swift was awarded Time Person of the Year for her 2023 billion dollar Eras Tour, Trump had one of his famous temper tantrums. And now that Taylor Swift is dating KC Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, MAGA World has been going nuts with conspiracy theories that Taylor Swift is a pentagon "psyop asset" and that the Super Bowl is fixed as part of a deep state plot to re-elect President Biden.
The Hypocrisy of GOP Free Speech
Trump and his MAGA allies claim free speech when they lie to voters and threaten their political enemies—and then they want to silence their critics.
Recent news is exposing the hypocrisy of GOP free speech, to avoid accountability for spreading lies that encourage violence. An appeals court rejected Trump's argument that he is immune from legal accountability for inciting the violence on January 6. A second court reinstated a gag order that prevents Trump from intimidating court personnel with lies that have resulted in multiple death threats. And despite a detailed and scathing House Ethics report, a majority of House Republicans voted against expelling George Santos for lying to voters and stealing campaign funds.
Echos of Hitler and Mussolini
Trump and his far right supporters are following the fascist playbook by promising to "root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.”
Historians are warning that Trump describing his political enemies as "vermin", and promising the mass deportation of immigrants he blames for “poisoning the blood of our country" is the same language used by Mussolini and Hitler to dehumanize and kill millions of people. Jason Stanley, Yale expert on facism and propaganda, called Trump's rhetoric "textbook Mein Kampf." Political Scientist Brian Klaas said “we are sleepwalking towards authoritarianism," and Presidential historian Jon Meacham warned that Trump is walking "through the door toward the most ghastly kinds of crimes.”
Voters Reject MAGA Extremism - Again!
Trump's Republican Party keeps losing elections as voters—especially women—reject GOP candidates and make protecting reproductive health a top priority.
When the Supreme Court overturned 50 years of reproductive freedom, it was a wake up call for voters that Trump, MAGA extremism, and the GOP culture war is a threat to everyone. Voters handed Trump's GOP yet another embarrassing loss, including passing reproductive rights in Ohio and rejecting anti-abortion candidates across the country. Democrats won key elections including the Governor’s race in Kentucky, securing majorities in the Virginia statehouse, and electing the first woman mayor of Philadelphia.
This Is Not a Political Rally
Donald Trump was unable to answer the basic questions at the heart of his $250 Million fraud trial, so instead he tried to bully the judge and prosecutors.
Testifying under oath, Trump evaded directly answering questions and lashed out angrily at court proceedings repeating his campaign lies and conspiracy theories. Without offering evidence, Trump boasted he was worth “billions more” than the financial statements. From the witness stand, Trump shockingly called the judge biased and the state attorney general a “fraud” and “political hack.” A frustrated Judge Engoron asked Trump’s attorneys, “can you control your client” and warned Trump, “this is not a political rally.”

When candidate Johnson first ran for the House in 2016 he bragged, "I was called to the legal ministry and I’ve been out on the front lines of the culture war.” As an elected member of the House, Johnson led House efforts to overturn the 2020 election, criminalize abortion, deny climate change, demonize immigrants, and attack the LGBTQ+ community.
Shame on You, Donald
Trump comes under bipartisan condemnation for praising the rightwing militia group Hezbollah as "very smart," as the Israel-Hamas war puts millions of innocent civilians at risk and threatens to engulf the entire Middle East.
Donald Trump has a long history of complimenting rightwing militia groups, dictators, and strongmen who use violence to intimidate and kill innocent people. Trump praised neo-Nazis as "very fine people," complimented Vladimir Putin as a "genius" and "savvy," and called Kim Jong Un "very honorable." Trump's most recent praise of Hezbollah has enraged both Democrats and Republicans, including Governor Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas, who posted “Shame on you, Donald. Your constant compliments to dictators, terrorist groups, and evil-doers are beneath the office you seek.”
Republican Chaos Is a Threat to Everyone
Republican infighting has paralyzed the House, which is unable to authorize aid for Israel and Ukraine without first electing a Speaker.
We are in a worldwide crisis and Republicans are failing to act. Hamas terrorists murdered over 1,000 Jews in the deadliest attack since the Holocaust. Ukraine is fighting for survival against Russian invaders in the largest European land war since WWII. And the US government will shut down in 37 days without passing a budget. All of this is on hold because House Republicans are unable to elect a Speaker and a single GOP Senator is undermining military readiness by blocking more than 300 promotions.

Trump is using disgusting racial slurs and threats of violence to intimidate judges, prosecutors, and even potential jurors in his four criminal cases. Right wing websites that have repeated Trump's racist slurs have exploded with threats of violence. The FBI arrested a Texas woman who threatened to murder the judge overseeing Trump's federal Jan. 6 indictment calling her a "slave," and threatening, “you are in our sights, we want to kill you.”
Supreme Court Goes Medieval
The Supreme Court rulings are a direct assault on the legal protections for people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, and young people.
The conservative majority on the Supreme Court is determined to legislate from the bench. The court ignored decades of precedent by overturning affirmative action in college admissions, overruling laws that protect same-sex couples, and ignoring the legal authority granted by the HEROES Act to cancel student debt. In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor exposed the hypocrisy of the court who “subverts the constitutional guarantee of equal protection by further entrenching racial inequality in education, the very foundation of our democratic government and pluralistic society.”
White Supremacy—Not Just for White People
Nick Fuentes, Enrique Tarrio, and the Texas mall shooter are part of a disturbing trend of non-whites being radicalized by a violent, right-wing ideology.
White supremacy groups and neo-Nazis are trying to broaden their appeal and that often means recruiting non-whites to support their extremist views. In 2017, the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer started a Spanish language version. White supremacy is often rooted in personal insecurity, and non-whites are sometimes attracted to the hate of white supremacist movements to feel some kind of power and exert dominance over other groups such as immigrants, Jews, and women.
Much Ado About Nothing

Trump's GOP believes voters are too stupid to care about the truth. So, despite the fact that the 306-page Durham Report failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing by the FBI, Trump and his Republican enablers are claiming vindication for their crazy deep state conspiracy theories. The truth is that candidate Trump asked for Russia's help on live TV, his campaign had hundreds of secret meetings with Russian agents, and then Russian spies hacked and leaked Clinton's emails to help Trump win the 2016 election.
CNN Hosts a MAGA Rally
CNN allowed Trump to pack a primetime town hall with his right-wing supporters who cheered his most hateful, racist, bigoted lies and conspiracy theories.
After years of Trump bashing journalists as "fake news" and "enemies of the people," CNN decided to host a primetime Trump town hall that was a blatant attempt to attract right-wing viewers leaving Fox News. It was a highly disturbing 70-minutes of Trump airing his personal grievances, hateful lies, and right wing conspiracy theories popular with his base of white supremacists, Christian nationalists, and QAnon supporters.
Republicans Stand By Your Man
Republican primary voters and the GOP leadership are still supporting Trump despite a jury concluding that Trump is liable for sexual abuse.
Trump once famously claimed that he could "shoot somebody," and "not lose any voters." Trump is still the hands down front runner to win the Republican nomination, even after 26 women have publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct and a jury found that he sexually assaulted E. Jean Caroll. The response from Kevin McCarthy and the Republican leadership proves that power and Party loyalty is more important than holding their own members accountable for unethical or criminal behavior.
