Justice Delayed is Justice Denied

Donald Trump's legal strategy is to delay criminal and civil responsibility beyond the 2024 elections by dragging out lower court rulings that have rejected his dubious claims of presidential immunity.

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has asked the Supreme Court to follow their own precedent established 50 years ago in an 8-0 ruling on United States v. Nixon (1974) and grant an expedited hearing on Trump’s claim of "absolute immunity." Unfortunately, this is the same Supreme Court that ignored 50 years of precedent when they overturned Roe v. Wade. As MLK wrote 60 years ago in his landmark Letter from Birmingham Jail, "justice too long delayed is justice denied."

Questions about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's bias in favor of Trump, and particularly his wife Ginni's advocacy for Trump and his MAGA supporters, have led some Democrats in Congress to call for his recusal in any cases related to Donald Trump and the January 6 insurrection.
