Attack on Our Constitution

House Republicans pull out of January 6 Investigation after Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejects two Republicans who voted to overturn the election.

Liz Cheney rips House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy for pulling out of the house committee to investigate the January 6 Insurrection saying, “The rhetoric that we have heard from the Minority Leader is disingenuous. The attack on this building on January 6th was the worst attack on this Capitol since 1814. It was an attack on our Constitution.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), whom the insurrectionists tried to hunt down on Jan. 6, is deadly serious about getting to the bottom of the day’s events and exposing all groups and individuals who played a role in the attempt to overthrow our democracy. She was willing to have a bipartisan, evenly divided Jan. 6 commission. But that was too much for the MAGA Republicans, whose lack of concern for our democracy and the truth makes them unfit to serve in any elected body. Senate Republicans filibustered the commission.
